Taylor of Old Bond Street Shaving Creams creates a uniquely smooth and creamy lather whilst protecting and moisturising the skin to give a better shave.
In the traditional method, the cream is placed on the brush or on the palm and then applied to the face, where the brush is used to work up a lather. However, most today prefer to use a lather "bowl". Whichever method you chose, you'll be amazed how well theses creams prepare your beard and moisturize your face.

Taylor creams use a hot pour method with jars not being sealed. It is quite normal for creams made in such a way to have irregular cavities and for their surfaces to not be completely smooth, hence they are sold by weight to account for the irregular volume.
Taylor creams will also vary in consistency from batch to batch. Sometimes being quite soft, with content easily shifting side to side in the jar (especially on hot summer days). And other times slightly firmer like a Croap (Cream+Soap=Croap), still featuring the texture of a cream and very easy to lather with a brush.
This is completely normal and does not affect the quality of the cream, it should not be considered a flaw.
