Apothecary87 combs are carved from pecan wood, before being sanded, polished & sealed. The durability of the wood ensures strength, whilst the versatility of the wood allows for the most dynamic shape to glide through hair and beards with ease.

As always, all our creations are made cruelty free.

The story behind Apothecary87 ...  In 2013 Sam W Martin started Apothecary87, after spending most of his 20's working as a mixologist & bar consultant. Eventually, he started his own company in the bar industry but found it very hard to be taken seriously as he looked too young. At that point, he decided to grow a beard. Not only did people take him more seriously, but they also remembered him so he kept the beard! After a while, he realised a beard needed looking after and conditioning. Having tried many brands out there, he found a lot of them to be too feminine. Being a man, he decided his beard oil should smell like a man’s beard oil! Spending many moons researching the best ingredients to make his own beard oil, that’s when the Original Recipe Beard Oil was born!
