I cut myself quite badly on my neck last week while shaving at 5am hurrying so I wouldn’t be late to catch a flight. Normally a wound like that would bleed forever and risk getting blood on my business shirt. I hurriedly pulled out these “matches”, tore one from the packet and applied to my cut. I held it there for a few seconds and literally like magic the bleeding stopped. I was amazed.
The only downside (not at all a major) was that when the area dried it left a small while mark around the wound where the pencil did its work.
I’ll buy more of these to stash in my travel bag and I won’t ever be without these again. A must have for every shaver - especially newbies like me.

I’ve tried styptic pencils and no matter how carefully I dry them after use it’s inevitable that they absorb water and fall apart. These matches are a better option.
