The Omega 10083 professional series boar bristle brush is a slightly more compact version of the world famous 48. The shorter loft gives slightly more backbone and better control.
The natural bristle hair are mounted in a chrome silver colour handle. Very comfortable and ergonomic handle and the large grip makes the brush nice and easy to handle. Bristle tips will get softer over time with the use without losing the firmness of the hair.

- Exfoliates the skin
- Chrome effect ABS handle
- Knot (at base): 26 mm
- Loft: 62 mm
- Handle: 63 mm x 41 mm
- Total height 125 mm

Made by Omega in Italy

Please Note : This brush has a large knot size, which is a bit to large for most brush stands.

When possible try to hang your brush for drying. This will help to maintain the condition of your brush, as it stops water from gathering in the handle.

This is a BIG brush

Had to replace my 15-year-old Semogue 1305 Boar Shaving Brush after it split and the bristles parted company and decided to try a different brush.
WOW - this is big - fits in the hand nicely, and now am waiting for the bristles to soften as they are a little coarse (as all boar brushes are to start)

I have used the trick of How to break in a shave brush as featured here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFlMzgTae20&t=556s
It has certainly opened up the bristles somewhat

Looking forward to the softening of the bristles and lathering improvement as time goes on.

As has been mentioned - this is a BIG knot and doesn't fit my brush stand - so I have fashioned one using a brush stand from a tool hanger (available at Mitre10 Mega in NZ) - see photos

At this point - the bristles are still a little still and don't hold a lot of lather - but hard to compare a new boar bristle brush against a 15-year-old one 🤔

The hanger is attached with Command removable strip and the black bottle cap holds the brush off teh wall giving good airlow

My cheap-**** razor stand is a rubber door stopper available at Mitre 10 Mega or Bunnings in NZ

The razor is a Mühle R89 loaded with a Feather blade

I do like the Omega brushes and travel with a mini Omega Boar Bristle

Good product

This is my first purchase of a shaving brush, so I can't really compare with any other products. However, I got the impression from online reviews that Boar's hair brushes would be rough. I can say that I don't find this brush rough at all, and I have not seen any hairs coming loose. Happy with the purchase

Wanted a larger brush, for the money this ticks all the boxes. Great brush, great size, great advice from Frank as always. Thanks team!
