I bought this to compliment the Proraso blue shave cream and blue after shave balm
It certainly adds build to your lather for the first pass and acts as a type of barrier coat between the lather and skin. I have read that it is primarily beneficial for adding suppleness and conditioning of the skin reducing harshness of blade feeling, rashes, razor burn etc. I'm on the fence if I would buy again with any of the Proraso pre shave creams. Saying that, I never get cuts or nicks on the first pass so maybe it helps in preventing this.

This pre-shave really does a great job of moisturizing and preparing your skin for a close shave. Scent is uniqueoy spicy but not too in your face, allowing your soaps fragrance to shine.

Lovely scent, and worked as well as the other Proraso pre-shave creams. I would always include a Proraso pre-shave cream whenever I had to rush through a shave. I did not really notice the ultra-glide as the other shavers claimed, but the Proraso pre-shave creams had never ever failed in providing prominent protection during a rushy shave (done in less than 5 minutes with no shower beforehand, and straight into the against-the-grain pass).
