This brush combines the well-loved SOC handle with the newly developed Semogue Synthetic Sylver knot, an extremely soft tip bristle that is highly efficient in ginning up lather.
Set in a gorgeous Cherrywood handle that features Semogue's iconic engraved Owners Club logo. The shape of the handle is traditional and ergonomic, making it one of the most comfortable handles for both face and bowl lathering. It is very luxurious and an absolute pleasure to use.
All Semogue brushes feature a metal ring as a hallmark of uncompromising quality; the ring is there as an added measure to hold the bristles in place snugly.
Handmade by Semogue and meeting the high standards of master craftsman Mr Gomes in his family-run factory.

5 stars for the service and the quality of the product!
To be honest, I didn't really enjoy the experience I had with this brush, and kind of regretted with the purchase. Something to do with my personal preference, nothing wrong with the product, which was solidly constructed and of high quality.
Compared to some of my favourite synthetic knots (Plisson, Yaqi Cashmere and Mew Brown, PAA Roswell and Tribble), which were pampering soft, easy splaying and still had enough backbone, this Semogue Sylver knot was more on the stiffer side. Densely packed, and a bit hard to splay. Though the fibre tips were super soft, the fibre shafts were a little coarse. With extra pressure applied in order to splay the knot, just made prolonged face lathering somewhat scritchy and unpleasant.
Personally, I thought there were many great brushes available here at FineShave that costed less, and were much more pleasant to use. But that was just my opinion solely based on my personal experiences. After all, this Semogue brush was a high quality product, and did what a shaving brush was supposed to do, generating voluminous amount of lather from soaps/creams.
