We do everything we can to send your products as securely as possible.
All orders are packaged in cardboard wrap or cardboard boxes.
For void fill, we use food-grade plain newsprint paper or biodegradable pop cornstarch.
We try to avoid using plastic packaging as much as we can (eg. bubble wrap), but some manufacturers might use some plastic wrapping or product packaging. Feel free to contact us and we will check.
Should your product end up being damaged during shipment, follow the procedure here and we will send you a replacement.

Change of Mind Returns
You are more than welcome to return products within 60 days of delivery if you decide they aren't right for you (10-day returns on all clearance items). Because we need to be able to resell the item to another wet shaving enthusiast, we just ask that the following conditions are met:
The Condition: Products must be unopened, unused, and in the same condition you received them. This includes all manufacturer packaging, seals, labels and accessories.
Shipping Costs: For change of mind returns, the cost of returning the item is the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are also non-refundable.
Free Shipping Adjustments: If your original order qualified for free shipping, but returning an item reduces the remaining order value below the free shipping threshold, we’ll simply deduct the original shipping cost from your refund.
Received a Damaged or Incorrect Item?
We take great pride in packing your orders safely, but sometimes accidents happen in transit or we make a packing mistake. We are so sorry if this happens! Please let us know immediately. We will arrange and pay for the return shipping. As soon as the return is confirmed, we’ll happily send a replacement or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer.

While we strive to be as accurate as possible, manufacturers occasionally update their packaging, formulas, or ingredients without notifying us. If the product you’ve received doesn’t match the description on our website, please let us know. We will gladly take it back at our cost and issue a full refund or exchange.

Request a Return: Please complete the Return Request Form below, or email us at shop@fineshave.co.nz so we can authorize the return and know to expect your package.
Pack Safely: For "change of mind" returns, please ensure the item is securely packaged inside a shipping box. If the product or its original manufacturer packaging arrives damaged, we unfortunately won't be able to accept the return.
Send It Back: We highly recommend using a tracked, signature-required shipping method. We cannot be responsible for "change of mind" returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

How to Use
For the best results, we recommend applying Control Cream to hair that has been freshly washed using Shampoo and Conditioner.
For Curls and Wavy Hair:
Apply a generous amount, depending on how thick and full your hair is. Massage into damp or dry hair. A generous application to ensure an even spread benefits the consistency of the style and hold. There's a two-prong approach to styling curls and wavy hair; where some like to let the curls and/or waves set naturally throughout the day with Control Cream’s conditioning and nourishing formula. Others like to use a blow dryer with a diffuser. A diffuser locks in the curl, adding volume helping to create a fuller, thicker look.
For Straight Hair:
Control Cream is an anti-frizz and texture enhancing formula. Vigorously apply desired amount to dry or damp hair. To maximise the result, add in some heat from the blow dryer; this will add life, texture and volume to flat and frizzy hair. A blow dryer also helps to activate and enhance the conditioning and nourishing properties, whilst boosting its Suede and Sandalwood aroma.
Pre-styling:
Control Cream can also be used as a pre-styling agent. This benefits those that want more hold from a secondary or complimentary product. They use Control Cream as a building block and framework to cocktail in with other Uppercut Deluxe styling products, depending on the desired outcome they want.

As usual, Fine Shave came through with their usual efficiency. I have been purchasing Shaving Cream for over 10 years and have always received excellent service.
Compared to Astra blades, I felt Feather DE blades to be more sharp, clean and i got quite a few shaves from one blade compared to the Astra. Feather blades are most certainly my first choice. Like any product, you need to try it to know if its worth the money, most importantly, quality. This time im trying Muhle blades and i will post a review on these blades to compare with Feather blades. I like how Fine shave have many different brands of DE razor blades. The reviews from other customers on their experience with brands is a very important element in deciding to purchase and try a blade brand. This is my second order of DE blades from Fineshave. I will post a review on the Muhle blades when I have my first shave with them to compare against Astra and Feather.
