Directions:
Step 1: Dampen your face with warm water (can skip this step if you are using Pre-Shave Cream)
Step 2: Wet shaving brush with warm water.
Step 3: Use circular movement to load shaving brush with soap (around 15 seconds)

Having tried a few shave soaps/ cremes over my 35+ years of shaving I can confidently state that this is the best value shave soap for me. I have alternated between this and the Proraso Sensitive (also good). Of the two, this is my favourite. I have extremely sensitive skin and really coarse facial hair. This soap does as advertised and really softens up those barb-wire whiskers. It provides a rich, luxurious shave experience. I add hot water to the shave bowl it comes in and let the soap "bloom" for at least 10 minutes. This helps speed up the lathering and creates a voluptious amount of rich foam. I have found that the shea butter in the soap leaves my skin sufficiently moisturised (not greasy) post-shave. It must be the added shea butter. The sandalwood fragrance is really good too.
First ever shaving soap and glad I started here. Lathers easily for me as a beginner, easy on the skin and my favourite scent of the 3 Proraso soaps. Amazed at how little soap you actually use per shave

As to the product, Proraso Sandelwood & Shea Butter.
I have used it 3 times now and while it will not make lots of foam it will make a quality one. Smooth and rich, full of fragrance. Moisturizers the face nicely and provides a very smooth shave. Covers the face with ease.
My last soap was Muhle Sandelwood. I find the Proraso a much fuller scent. Comparing the two for me this is a much better product by performance and results.
No wonder in overseas ratings this shows up in the top five on a regular basis.

Have used poraso soap in the past so thought I would try again I love the shea butter leaves skin feeling soft and smooth you do have to lather soap abit more with brush and can dry out so you have to apply abit more on face the sandalwood scent is lovely and would reccomend to any traditional wet shaver.
Good everyday soap, medium lather with mild smell.
After use, I can confidently say that I am very happy with Proraso shaving soap.

Great product at a reasonable price
While I'd hoped for a wintery, warming version of Proraso's refreshing Green, I was sadly disappointed. The aroma is less earthy/woody and more of a bizarre floral concoction that no-one in the house appreciated; one would need a highly vivid imagination to detect any sandalwood. The lather is otherwise perfectly fine, but it will sit in the back room unused until supply chains prevent more enjoyable soaps reaching these shores sometime in the distant future.
