This formula with nourishing natural active ingredients regenerates dry skin and is specially formulated for tough or coarse beards (it softens even the thickest and toughest beards).

Proraso Red possesses a subtle sandalwood scent with additional moisturizing properties of Shea Butter. Enriched with Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Sandalwood Oil and added glycerin to aid a close & comfortable shave. The blade glides easily and the beard, softened by the synergic action of the Pre-shaving Emollient Cream and Emollient Soap, is easier to shave.

Made with a "hot soap process", it is left to mature in small batches for 10 days in a temperature-controlled room that protects it from temperature changes. During this time, the moisture evaporates and the product becomes solid and more "concentrated", perfect for a professional shave with a brush.

The performance is what you would expect from Proraso... exceptional.

While I'd hoped for a wintery, warming version of Proraso's refreshing Green, I was sadly disappointed. The aroma is less earthy/woody and more of a bizarre floral concoction that no-one in the house appreciated; one would need a highly vivid imagination to detect any sandalwood. The lather is otherwise perfectly fine, but it will sit in the back room unused until supply chains prevent more enjoyable soaps reaching these shores sometime in the distant future.

I have used this product for about seven years. I have very sensitive skin and have had no issues. I normally do a BBS (Baby Butt Smooth) shave so that is three directional, therefore three applications of soap. It's a great product. Highly recommend this product and Fineshave as a company they are fantastic as well
