Shark Saloon Single Edge Razor Blades are specifically designed for Barbershops, Salons & disposable Straight Razors (shavette).

These 1/2 blades have been conveniently snapped in half for use with barber style folding razors, it eliminates the need to manually break DE blades in half (just open blade and slide in razor). These disposable blades are individually wrapped for hygienic concerns. The stainless steel blades are sharp and smooth for a comfortable shave.

Prefer Derby

I am a rookie straight shaver, so tried these and the Derby saloon blades as I had heard they are quite forgiving on the novice. Have to admit I prefer the Derby blades, which are nice and sharp but don't feel dangerous (although there is still the odd nick). The shark blades I felt pulled slightly even on the first shave, so felt like you had to put a little more pressure into the stroke. The second shave with a shark blade felt like the third or fourth shave with a Derby blade. Which is a shame because on a purely superficial note the Shark packaging is pretty cool! and gives it a bit more of a retro feel. If you have fine stubble then these blades might be ok? I reckon it's still worth trying a few to find out which suits you.
