Packaging :

We do everything we can to send your products as securely as possible.

All orders are packaged in cardboard wrap or cardboard boxes.
For void fill, we use food-grade plain newsprint paper or biodegradable pop cornstarch.
We try to avoid using plastic packaging as much as we can (eg. bubble wrap), but some manufacturers might use some plastic wrapping or product packaging. Feel free to contact us and we will check.
Our courier bags are compostable, they are made from corn starch, PLA and PBAT. A natural alternative to traditional plastic-based courier bags.

Change of Mind Returns

You are more than welcome to return products within 60 days of delivery if you decide they aren't right for you (10-day returns on all clearance items). Because we need to be able to resell the item to another wet shaving enthusiast, we just ask that the following conditions are met:

The Condition: Products must be unopened, unused, and in the same condition you received them. This includes all manufacturer packaging, seals, labels and accessories.
Shipping Costs: For change of mind returns, the cost of returning the item is the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are also non-refundable.
Free Shipping Adjustments: If your original order qualified for free shipping, but returning an item reduces the remaining order value below the free shipping threshold, we’ll simply deduct the original shipping cost from your refund.

Received a Damaged or Incorrect Item?

We take great pride in packing your orders safely, but sometimes accidents happen in transit or we make a packing mistake. We are so sorry if this happens! Please let us know immediately. We will arrange and pay for the return shipping. As soon as the return is confirmed, we’ll happily send a replacement or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Pack Safely: For "change of mind" returns, please ensure the item is securely packaged inside a shipping box. If the product or its original manufacturer packaging arrives damaged, we unfortunately won't be able to accept the return.
Send It Back: We highly recommend using a tracked, signature-required shipping method. We cannot be responsible for "change of mind" returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Scotsman Alexander Simpson started production of shaving brushes and male grooming ancillaries in 1919 and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. Manufacturing was originally based in the East end of London but later in Clapham. In 1941, following the loss of his factory during the World War II German Luftwaffe blitz, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man. They continue to be produced in the traditional way using hand tied knots by time served, skilled workers.

Alexander simpson bayrum cream

Bought this Alexander simpson bayrum cream a couple of weeks ago unfortunatly I had to stop using it due to a reaction on my sensitive skin I would still recommed it for anyone whos skin is not as sensitive as mine. I loved the bayrum smell which lingers after your shave but sadly not for my skin just one of those things u dont know till u try it.Thank you to frank and the team at fineshave for your great service..cheers.

Great scent and performance

A nice strong fresh bayleaf scent, which I mistook for cinnamon, backed up with numerous warm earthy spices. The smell just takes me back to old fashioned sweet shops and the bag of cinnamon lollies I would always get. The cream is really soft and provides a really slick, cushioning lather leaving the skin feeling supple and smooth without irritation. Well worth the price and highly recommended.

Great scent on this bay rum shave cream. Easy to work up a lather on my face, no irritation and made for a smooth shave. My only gripe; the jar is huge and taking up a fair bit of space. Should last a long time! Having used a parazo cream previously, I would say I prefer this one better but very close

One of the best!

One of the best shaving creams I have ever used, easily outperforms some of the more expensive creams like T&H, GFT, MdC, SMN and Tabula Rasa etc. in my personal experience and opinion! Only a little bit is needed for a voluminous amount of top notch quality lather with pleasant comforting scent and excellent protection. My nose can't really pick up the conventional bay rum note initially until half way through the second pass. Simpsons didn't lie, it's really ultra-glide, the slickness is outstanding! The postshave is also phenomenal, it is one of the very few soaps/creams that doesn't leave my face dry and tight at all. Highly Recommended!
