The Kent Large Handled Rake Comb is ideal for wet, thick hair. Its large handle allows for easy manoeuvring while combing. The soft, rounded teeth of Kent combs are designed to not damage your hair or scalp.

This comb measures 205mm in length, and is perfect for untangling wet/thick hair.

From the oldest manufacturer of finest brushes in Great Britain - founded in 1777 - recognized by the granting of Royal Warrants for nine reigns.
Handmade in England

Kent’s handmade combs are saw cut, and then hand polished and buffed to create soft rounded teeth that will not damage your hair or scalp. They are made from cellulose acetate, a non-petroleum based plastic derived from plants that has been found to create less static in hair. These smooth teeth stimulate the natural oils inside the hair cuticles as your hair is combed, and it is this oil that encourages the cuticles on each hair to lie flat creating strong, healthy, shiny hair. It takes up to ten days to manufacture a Kent comb.

A non-handmade comb is known as an injection moulded comb. They have razor sharp teeth which damage the hair cuticle, and ultimately cause split ends. These combs also feature tiny ridges, known as ‘mould marks’ which scratch and snag your hair causing breakage and severe cuticle damage.

I'll use it when my beard is long enough!

I recently started growing my first beard out at 25 and I've got about an inch of growth so far. I bought both this coarse comb and the Kent FOT (fine tooth) comb to keep it under control but I rarely use this because my beard hasn't yet reached the length that would benefit it. Instead I use it to comb my head which feels great because the tooth quality is awesome and has a nice curve to it. This comb would suit anyone with a thicker beard or at a length of say 2 inches plus, in my opinion. You could also just use it for your head in the mean time!
