Mitchells shaving soap is made to an exclusive old traditional formula dating back to 1893.
Mitchell’s Wool Fat (MWF) has a legendary status in the traditional shaving community and has been long revered for its superior quality. Added Lanolin and Tallow make the performance and lather from this wool fat shaving soap very suitable for those with sensitive skin. It is a highly regarded shaving soap which will bring luxury to your shaving routine. The scent of this shaving soap is a fine fragrance based around Patchouli and enhanced with extracts of Lavender, Pine and Clove on a spicy base of Nutmeg, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk.

Use it on consecutive days and it gets better and better, as if it appreciates the attention. Another point about this soap is that it is a hard soap and it is recommended to use a brush with some backbone like a Boar Bristle Shaving Brush (soft badger brushes are hard to charge up with enough lather).

My winter go-to

This is the second time I've bought this puck. I use it every Sunday during the cold months as the scent reminds me of my grandparents house, near Bradford funnily enough. The post shave feel is seriously sensational. I've only had similar from artisanal soaps that cost twice as much. It almost feels a waste using post shave products when you use this and the slickness is great. Like shaving with moisturiser. I use it in ceramic soup mug that comes with a microwave lid from Briscos. It can be difficult to lather. I have found soaking it in hot water whilst taking a shower and using a soaked, but shaken dry badger brush to load and adding water gradually as I face lather to be the most effective method, and it gets quicker the more you use it. A very rewarding soap.

Amazing, perfect for sensitive skin.

Should add a 6th Star for this stuff, very slick, amazing protection and gentle on your skin. Best shave soap I've ever tried.

Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap

This is my preferred shaving soap. Previously I had settled on Cella because it had a fine thick lather. Mitchells is as good in lathering qualities (I don't understand where comments to the contrary are based) and it is magic on my skin. It also lasts very well. Overall a must try.

My go to!

Have been using Mitchell's for years. I always come back to it after i've tried other soaps like Prorasso, and Plague Doctor when i was trying to find a replacement for the Vitalis soap of my teens.
NB: Plague Doc and Prorasso are excellent too, but not as dear to me throat!
Mitchell's has a great lather, and bouquet. The price is right, and i like the traditional method of manufacture and natural ingredients. It's my go to.

Mitchells woolfat awesome shavesoap

This is my second review of mitchells woolfat shaving soap after using it for awhile have noticed a great inprovement of my skin a great soap for people (like myself) with sensitive skin especially around neck area very moisturizing due to the lanolin and is now one my favourite soaps and can see why it is well known in the traditional shaving community.
