Highlights

Description

This handsome shaving brush from Omega has been crafted in Bologna, Italy.

It contains 100% natural boar bristle hair and features a hand-turned, solid wooden handle topped with a collar that securely holds the Omega knot. The ergonomic design of the handle makes it easy to hold.

Boar bristle is often the preferred choice for those seeking the most effective scrubbing action from their brush. It has a strong backbone, which is highly desirable when used with hard soaps like Mitchell's Wool Fat, Edwin Jagger & Haslinger Soap.

Superb for its exfoliating properties, boar bristle remains the most popular alternative to badger.

Beautiful brush. Worth noting the boar bristles are considerably stiffer than synthetics.
Mine gave off an unpleasant smell like a wet dog (understatement) out of the box especially when wetted, but this can happen with any boar bristle brushes, and yours might not even smell at all. Use some hair shampoo and conditioner on the brush and then after a few shaves, the smell will no longer be an issue. YMMV so wouldnt take a star off.
