Authority to Leave - Courier Delivery
Tracked service with a delivery target of 1-2 business days. No Signature is required and the courier driver will leave your parcel in a safe place (any item lost or stolen after delivery is at your own Risk). Your parcel is still covered if the Courier damages or loses it during transport.
We strongly recommend using "Signature Required" for higher-value orders or if there is no safe place to leave your parcel (that's weatherproof & out of view of the street).

Tracked service with a delivery target of 1-2 business days and someone at your address must sign for the parcel or you have given NZ Post a "Leave my parcel authority".
Please keep in Mind: "Authority to Leave (ATL)" is assigned to your address (not a person). If you have just moved to a new address or another household member has given an Authority to Leave - this will apply to anyone at the same address. To manage an ATL, create a NZ Post account for free and check your address verification status.

Packaging :

We do everything we can to send your products as securely as possible.

All orders are packaged in cardboard wrap or cardboard boxes.
For void fill, we use food-grade plain newsprint paper or biodegradable pop cornstarch.
We try to avoid using plastic packaging as much as we can (eg. bubble wrap), but some manufacturers might use some plastic wrapping or product packaging. Feel free to contact us and we will check.
Our courier bags are compostable, they are made from corn starch, PLA and PBAT. A natural alternative to traditional plastic-based courier bags.

Returns Policy

We know that shopping online can sometimes be tricky. Whether you've simply changed your mind or something isn’t quite right, we’ll always do our best to make it right.

Change of Mind Returns

You are more than welcome to return products within 60 days of delivery if you decide they aren't right for you (10-day returns on all clearance items). Because we need to be able to resell the item to another wet shaving enthusiast, we just ask that the following conditions are met:

The Condition: Products must be unopened, unused, and in the same condition you received them. This includes all manufacturer packaging, seals, labels and accessories.
Shipping Costs: For change of mind returns, the cost of returning the item is the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are also non-refundable.
Free Shipping Adjustments: If your original order qualified for free shipping, but returning an item reduces the remaining order value below the free shipping threshold, we’ll simply deduct the original shipping cost from your refund.

Received a Damaged or Incorrect Item?

We take great pride in packing your orders safely, but sometimes accidents happen in transit or we make a packing mistake. We are so sorry if this happens! Please let us know immediately. We will arrange and pay for the return shipping. As soon as the return is confirmed, we’ll happily send a replacement or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Product Doesn't Match the Description?

While we strive to be as accurate as possible, manufacturers occasionally update their packaging, formulas, or ingredients without notifying us. If the product you’ve received doesn’t match the description on our website, please let us know. We will gladly take it back at our cost and issue a full refund or exchange.

How to Return a Product

Request a Return: Please complete the Return Request Form below, or email us at shop@fineshave.co.nz so we can authorize the return and know to expect your package.
Pack Safely: For "change of mind" returns, please ensure the item is securely packaged inside a shipping box. If the product or its original manufacturer packaging arrives damaged, we unfortunately won't be able to accept the return.
Send It Back: We highly recommend using a tracked, signature-required shipping method. We cannot be responsible for "change of mind" returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Very sharp, but (for me) not so smooth.

Recommended, as they have good points, even though I wouldn’t use them every day.
The good: they are impressively sharp, the wrapping paper doesn’t have wax on it, which is nice, and they last an impressive number of shaves.
The not so good: I personally found them too harsh for daily use (and my favourite blades are Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum, so I do like sharp blades!)
All up, they’re a formidable blade and do have a lot of fans, and they’re cheap - so I totally recommend giving them a try. If they work out for you, they’d be a steal at this price.

I could definitely feel a little tugging - definitely not as smooth as some other blades (e.g. Astras).

Bic chrome Platinum

Sharp but not that smooth. Very rigid blade. Much less flex than all other blades I have used. Worked particularly well in an aggressive razor that has a lot of positive exposure but poor blade support. Good blade but I am unlikely to buy again.
