Looking for something fresh with a little zing? If so, Future Fiction could be the scent for you.
With this in mind, Future Fiction opens up with a burst of citrus in a medley of Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange & Jerusalem Pine! From there, the mood gets a bit more sophisticated yet still playful. Not playful naughty but playful Tag Your It!
Scent Profile: Citrus (Lemon, Bergamot & Mandarin Orange), White Musk, Jamaican Ginger, White Pepper, Haitian Vetiver, Hiba Wood, Honey Amber, Black Sage, Peppermint, Jerusalem Pine
White Musk: is floral, woody and musky with a hint of animalic muskiness. Yet another musk coming atcha!
Jamaican Ginger: Spicy, refreshing, sharp, bracing yet light, and really helps contain the overflow of colors happening in the accord.
White Pepper: To add a little animalic boost to the White Musk. The two paired really well together and synergistically rounded out the more woody elements. A very masculine character.
Haitian Vetiver: Deep, slightly sweet and resinous, with pronounced earth and root notes and light smoky undertones.
Hiba Wood: The scent is a uniquely citrusy and cedar-like. The Hiba functions as a bridge between the top notes and base notes. Fun Fact: Hiba wood has long been used in Japan for building houses and pagodas. Construction takes many forms.
Honey Amber: Is a delightfully aromatic and intoxicatingly rich scent. Honey Amber is characteristically defined as a sweet, woody earthy note. It is made up of various tree resins, with a touch of vanilla and honey which give the honey amber resin its memorable sweet aroma. Because of it's epic fragrance make-up, it is considered a sacred temple powder often referred to as "Nectar of the Gods" or "Ambrosia" in certain cultures and literature.
Peppermint: Mints and spices play so well together when laid out in a proper counterpoint of each other. Peppermint in combination with the black sage and white pepper really added some energy and motion to the blend. Very refreshing & engaging.
Jerusalem Pine Resin: Now for the crowning note, Aleppo pine also known as Jerusalem pine! One of the most aromatically sublime pine notes produced in nature.
A Powerful, Playful Blend of Manly
As you can probably imagine after reading this listing, a lot of thought and intention went into Future Fiction. You will absolutely fall in love with this scent.
This ultra premium soap is made up of exotic oils, butters and waxes from around the world; Bacuri Butter, Cocoa Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Kokum Butter, Murumuru Butter, Shea Butter and Jojoba Wax.
Bringing killer post shave feel into the equation is Bacuri Butter, from the North of Brazil. The high amount of palmitoleic acid compared to other oils makes it a fantastic emollient.
Cupuacu Butter has a higher water absorbency than lanolin (over 200%) making it possibly one of the best moisturising agents available.
For slickness, Murumuru Butter provides excellent skin feel and glide when using a safety razor.
When all these are combined, Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements have in their CK-6 Formula produced a premium, high buttery, creamy lather that possesses superb residual slickness and an earth shattering post shave feel! Best of all, surprising all critics - a vegan formula!

The creation of CK6 formula shaving soap began with a mission: Kill the 'tallow is superior' myth....
The wet shaving community is always seeking 'the best' shaving soap, so a common debate of which is better rages; animal v vegetable based shaving soaps. Tallow is a by product of the meat industry and is used in shaving soaps, the Stearic Acid it produces helps to produce a thick creamy lather. Vegetable based or vegan shaving soaps use a form of Stearic Acid such as Palm Oil or Cocoa/Mango Butters to create lather.
Tired of the 'Tallow is best' thinking amongst wet shavers, Doug & Fran decided they would make it their mission to create a new shaving soap that ticks of all the attributes of a Tallow shaving soap; better glide, better post shave feel, better moisturising properties - yet WITHOUT Tallow! Is Tallow really the Benchmark?
Rather than try to find a new, yet to be used species of tallow or fat (Prairie Dog Fat?), we went deeper into the jungles of South America for a tallow alternative, or rather, a Superior fat!
Over the last several years Fran and I have carefully researched all the different butters the world has to offer, and have gone on a long, sometimes mysterious, sometimes frustrating journey to see where our experiment would take us. With much trial and error and careful note taking we believe we have arrived!
So Here we are, Formula CK-6...or what I like to think of as Ground Zero to a new paradigm. You folks decide if I am crazy. [*Fran says Overly Dramatic. Regardless, this stuff is something else!]A Mystical Trifecta of Slick
Bacuri Butter: is very popular in the north of Brazil, it comes from the seeds of a beloved local fruit with a rich pulp, and flavor.
Bacuri butter has a high absorption rate, due to its high level of tripalmitin (50% to 55%), which penetrates the skin quickly. The high amount of fatty palmitoleic acid (5%), compared to other oils (less than or equal to 0.5 to 1.5%), makes the Bacuri oil a fantastic emollient, and a super moisturizing agent. Think killer post shave feel!
Capuacu Butter: is a close cousin to the cacao plant, the trees and fruits are similar, however, cupuacu has a richer pulp. Cupuacu butter is naturally softer than cacao, therefore easier to use, and offers more benefits than the cocoa butter.
Cupuacu butter has very high water absorption capacity (Over 200% Greater Than Lanolin)- Read that again. Due to its capacity for water absorption and the ability to obstruct the evaporation of moisture from the skin, Cupuaçu butter just might be one of the best moisturizing ingredients available. (take that Lanolin!) Fun Fact: Chocolate can also be made from cupuacu - it is called “cupulate".
Murumuru Butter: is a phenomenally slick butter that gives a most excellent skin feel and slip. It is called the "vegetable silicone" for its ability to rapidly replace mineral silicon in the dermis. It comes from the seeds of a palm tree that is very abundant in the wet regions of the Amazon forest.
Murumuru Butter is also rich in vitamin A and C and Omega fatty acids 3, 6, and 9. The main fatty acid found in this butter is called Lauric acid (at an astonishing 47%) It also has myristic acid, oleic, palmitic and linoleic acids. When these 3 sisters combine with Kokum, Cocoa, Jojoba & Shea you get some serious Premium, Luxury, Fatty Lather; killer creamy, slick, buttery goodness that possesses Superb Residual Slickness and Earth Shattering Post Shave Feel! You will not even need to use a balm after and good luck keeping your hands off your face all day!
