Rockwell 6S Stainless Steel Safety Razor

The Rockwell 6S is a super solid stainless steel razor that gives really smooth shaves. The swap-out plates make it easy to go mild or more aggressive, and the weight actually feels great in the hand.

Been using for a week now. My daily driver of the last year or so has been a merkur 34C which is a smaller, lighter razor. This Rockwell 6S is far heavier, noticeably more weight on the thumb. Have tried the #3 but moved to the #4 which is good for a daily shave with my fairly standard European stubble. It's a nice shave. The big question: if I lost this razor would I buy it again? Maybe. Probably. It's worth a lot of money. Maybe, you should ask me again in a month.

What I can't fault was the service. Ordered 4:30pm on a Thursday. I live in the south island and not in a major centre. Dispatched and delivered by 8am the following day.

Not super aggressive - I started on #2 and flipped to #4 and didn't feel a huge change in aggressiveness. Will continue daily shaving on #4 using Derby Extra green blades. I also have a Henson AL13 mild that is much milder than this. Will last a lifetime given it's stainless steel

I bought this razor early on in my wet shave journey and I wanted to wait to give it a decent run to write a review.
This razor is hands down my favourite. It is super smooth and comfortable even on the higher plates with what ever your choice of blade (I’ve tried many). It is very well balanced with the right length handle to suit.
The finishing of it is perfect for me as it’s not super polished and so any imperfections aren’t notable (I haven’t actually found any with mine to start with).
The plate system while initially may look bulky, really isn’t and sneaks in under the nose with no problems and gives you options of how aggressive you need your shave for the day.
Packaging is something else and you really feel like you’ve bought something high end.
I have bought a number of razors since yet always find myself going back to this.

Good weight in the hand very comfortable shave

This Rockwell razor comes with three base-plates giving 6 settings, allowing you to experiment to your heart's content on what setting and blade combination works best for you. It's a solid thing in the hand, feels precisely made and the matte finish suits it well. When shaving it's also the most audible razor I've ever used - you can hear the stubble being dispatched, which is interesting. The stainless construction also means that it should last pretty much indefinitely, barring accidents or abuse.It's also very well presented should this be a gift (even to yourself).
